Jean-Pierre Subrenat is a perfumer raised and educated in Cannes, in the south of France, a few jasmin fields away from Grasse. Mr. Subrenat attributes his 40-year career to a vast knowledge of scents, an understanding of people, and a love of art.

After several years of training with Charabot & Cie, he spent eight years in Paris with Roure Bertrand Dupont before moving to the United States where he worked for several international perfume suppliers. Mr. Subrenat served as Senior Perfumer for Givaudan, as Director of the Perfume Division at Haarmann & Reimer, and as Vice President of the Fragrance Division and Chief Perfumer for both Florasynth Inc. and Drom International.

In 1990, Mr. Subrenat broke the barriers that separate the creator of perfumes from those that handle the marketing and development of the final product, by launching his own fragrance company — Creative Concepts Corporation. With Creative Concepts, Mr. Subrenat has brought together a group of specialists who work in concert to create perfumes for the fragrance industry, in addition to creating, designing and marketing finished products as well. Since a few years, Mr. Subrenat also creates custom made perfumes for a selected few, offering the possibility, to a discerning individual to possess a unique and personal creation.

Mr. Subrenat frequently lectures on perfumery. He is also past-President and Chairman of the American Society of Perfumers, and was the Chairman of the World Perfumery Congress that he organized in Cannes, France from 1998 until 2010.

He is married, has two children, he loves to paint, to cook, play pétanque and was recently the US Champion of Pétanque in singles, triples and mixed triples.
